Family Holiday Photography

Cheryl Sexton Photography

A couple of weeks ago, I got together with some of my favorite people to get some holiday pictures. Each year, we try to do something new so that the pictures are fresh and different. This year, we wanted a more grunge/modern look to the photographs. I am very happy with the outcome. In addition, I am really pleased to say that we have already chosen our location for next year's photo session! It is a secret, so you will have to stay tuned to find out where we will take them! This day was really fun because the weather was amazing and the girls looked so cute. Unfortunately, little Addy did not want to take pictures, so we worked around the desire to move away from the camera. For some pictures, we were pretty successful. Overall, it is important to remember that all kids go through phases where they just do not want to take pictures. It happens to almost every family. We were still able to get a few cute ones and Addy still looked so adorable despite her desire to run away from me! Her sister, Kaylee, on the other hand was very photogenic during this photo shoot. What a cute family! Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Later, some of the extended family joined in for some photography fun and we were able to capture some cute cousin moments as well as some extended family action!

Phoenix Family Holiday Photography

Cheryl Sexton Photography

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet up with Natalie, Garrett and cutie pie, Colton to take some family holiday pictures. It is a busy season with tons of family photo shoots, but I must say that it is my favorite time of the year. I am so happy because this was one of my favorite photo shoots of all time!! I am so pleased with how the pictures came out and I am just really grateful that there has been such a positive response to them. Fortunately for me, the subjects were beautiful, the lighting was beautiful and the results were well... let's just say that the job is so much easier when all of the conditions line up! This is really a narrowed down version of my favorites, because I had so many. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think!

Phoenix Engagement Photography

KC1

Right before I had my son, I had the opportunity to meet up with Kathy and Ron for an engagement shoot. It was still pretty hot at at that time, but we were able to manage a really fun afternoon. Kathy and Ron had their wedding in Hawaii and are now happily married. The engagement session was really great because Kathy and Ron were really up for any ideas that I had. I had them climbing up on boulders, sitting on pointy rocks, standing in the sun and kissing every few minutes! Athough, now that I think about it, it did not seem they minded the kissing as much! They are such a loving couple and it was an honor to capture their obvious affection for each other. Here are some of my favorites from the day:
