Family Photographer- Scottsdale, Arizona

I am a little behind on my blog posts, so here come a few good ones in a row!! The first session up is Kenny and Lindsey and their baby, Logan. We got to capture a little bit of each kind- family pictures, baby pictures and engagement pictures! Kenny and Lindsey recently got engaged and are planning their wedding in February, 2010! I am sooo excited for them. Their son, Logan is SUCH a C-U-T-I-E pie and Kenny and Lindsey are so happy together. They are an amazing family. Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Thanks, Kenny and Lindsey!! Let's talk soon about all of the big events in February!

Maternity Pictures Photographer (Phoenix)- Meghan & Kevin

Pregnancy seems like such an exciting and anticipatory time, which is exactly why I love to photograph it. It is pretty easy to get a mother to be to smile! I got to take pictures with my friends, Meghan and Kevin this past week and it was so fun. They were troopers! Even though it was FREEZING outside, thanks to the wind that day, they were willing to go outside, go inside, lay in the grass, sit in weird positions... The ideal scenario for a photographer looking for some great shots. They were such a happy and loving couple and I'm sure they will make wonderful parents. I cannot wait to meet little Braddick!! Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Thanks again, Meghan and Kevin. I am so happy for you both!

Pre-Wedding Boudoir Session- Scottsdale

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting a very sweet and beautiful bride to be, who plans to surprise her fiance with some fun boudoir pictures. The pictures we take are tasteful and elegant and we do our best to capture the natural beauty of each woman. This photo shoot was particularly easy because she was so easy-going and energetic. It also makes my job easier when I am able to photograph someone so obviously beautiful. All photographs are fully approved in advance of posting.

Please contact me to schedule a boudoir session today.

In Loving Memory- James Everett Sexton

My grandpa died today. He was such a funny, sarcastic, loving, energetic, strong and caring man. I love him so much and have so many fond memories of him from childhood to adulthood. My memories of visiting him on his farm as a child were some of my fondest memories to date. He was an amazing story teller and there was no one who enjoyed the outdoors as much as he did! He loved spending his free time hunting, fishing and camping. He has been through quite a few injuries in his life, but he has always been an incredibly strong man. This morning as I stood by him at his hospice bed, he looked up and smiled at me the way that he always has- like he is so proud of me or like it is a secret that he loves his grandkids so much. He knew I was there and it makes me happy to know that I got to share my life with him. He will be missed by our whole family, but we will all carry him with us in our hearts and in our memories. I love you, Grandpa.

Children's Birthday Photography

Last weekend, I was able to catch up with my friend, Jeannie and her daughter, JadynRiver at the local park. Jeannie is such a wonderful mom and is so proud of her daughter- who was incredibly easy to photograph, by the way. She is ADORABLE and energetic and up for almost anything! She even agreed to a wardrobe change like a superstar! JadynRiver is turning three and we tried to capture some of the activities she loves doing at this age- running, jumping, dancing, swinging, sliding and being with mom. She had a fun day and I really loved following her around to take pictures. Here are a few favorites from the day:

Thanks again, Jeannie. It was a blast!!

Brenna's Pumpkin Patch Birthday Party

Two of my favorite things in the whole world are nieces and pumpkins- combine the two and I am in seventh heaven!! That was what happened with Brenna's birthday. We went to Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale where there are pumpkins galore! Brenna and her friends had a fantastic time and I got to photograph it all. I am a lucky auntie! Here are some highlights from the party:

The first two are using flash :( because we ran out of sunlight at the end of the day! Here is Brenna looking happy about pumpkins too:

It was such a fun day. I can't believe my little niece is already four! Here's hoping the next year slows down a bit!!

Brenna is Four!!!

My little niece, Brenna turned four this week! I cannot believe how quickly the time passes. Brenna is such a cutie pie and I am so proud of the sweet girl she is becoming. One of the best things about being an aunt is that you get to really cherish your nieces and enjoy their little behaviors. Some of the fun things about Brenna are that she loves her taggy giraffe (seen in the picture above), food, playgrounds, being active, swimming, BOYS, cake, her parents, her sister and animals. She is amazing and I love her so much. I talked her into letting me take her to her school playground on her birthday to take some pictures. Even though she is not the easiest subject to photograph (because she loves to be running all around), I got a few that really remind me of Brenna's personality:

She insisted on bringing along one of her many pairs of sunglasses!

The movement in this one is pretty fun!

This one was 100% her idea. She thought this would be a good pose.

I'll have some more pictures from her party at the pumpkin patch soon!
